Beazley to Beazley
To All to whom these presents shall come, I Ephraim Beazley of the parish of Saint Mark of County of Culpeper send greeting, know ye that I the said Ephraim Beazley for & in consideration of the sum of one hundred fifty pounds to me in hand paid by William Beazley the receipt of which I do hereby acknowledge have bargained, sold released granted and confirmed unto the said William Beazley two negro women, slaves namely Mary and Phebe one bay horse one sorrel mare 2 cows 5 head sheep two beds and furniture and the chest now being and remaining in the possession of the said Ephraim Beazley,
to have and to hold and in singular the said slaves goods and household staff and every of them by these presents bargained sold released granted and confirmed unto the said William Beazley this executor administrator and assigns forever and the said Ephraim Beazley for myself my executors and administrators the said slaves goods and household staff unto the said William Beazley my executor's administrators and assigns against me the said Ephraim Beazley my Executors administrators & assigns against any & all person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents.
Provided always it is hereby agreed between the parties to the presents that if the said Ephraim Beasley my executors administrators or assigns do {illegible} well & truly to be paid into the said William Beazley his certain attorney his executors administrators or assigns the sum of one hundred fifty pounds on demand for redemption for the said hereby bargained premises, then these presents of every clause of article herein contained shall cease to be void otherwise to remain in full force & effect.
In witness where of I the said Ephraim Beasley have to these presents set my hand & seal this 18th day of April one thousand seven hundred and ninety one.
