[1051] He was a partner with his brother, George A. Diuguid in the management of the Diuguid funeral Home after the death of their father in 1856 and until he, David P. Diuguid, died in 1864. He was also prominent in Masonic work.

[12401] He volunteered for the Confederacy at age 17, was wounded at Gettysburg, and was hospitalized at Ft. McHenry. He married and died in Tesas.
