[593] Based in part on notes compiled by Ruth Matella Beasley. Mrs. J. W. Claggett LEXINGTON, Jan. 21 -- Mrs. J. W. Claggett, 79, died suddenly at her home here Friday night. Anemia was given as the cause for her death. She had not been bedfast. Melissa Horney, the daughter of Mr. and Mr.s Hexekiah Horney, was born in Ohio and came to Lexington with her parents when she was two years old. She has lives here since that time. Her husband died several years ago. Surviving are a daughter, Miss Amy Claggett, a teacher in the grade school here, a son, E. T. Claggett of Chicago and four grandchildren.
