[4209] From the AMERICAN-CANADIAN GENEALOGIST quarterly Issue #81, Volume 25, Number3, 1999; ISSN 1076-3902 Louis VALLIERE, #843, died Monday, 14 JUN 1999 in Manchester, NH. He was born in December of 1914, in Manchester, the son of Dosithe VALLIERE and Regina BLAIS. He lived in Manchester most of his life, having moved to Goffstown about twenty years ago. Louis was a retired supervisor for a sportswear company. Mr. VALLIERE will be remembered most for his running the Research Service of American-Canadian Genealogical society single-handedly during the years that our home was the ASSOCIATION-CANADO-AMERICAINE on Concord Street in Manchester. Mr. VALLIERE continued to do research in his home as well as at our library. During the last few years, when he gave up driving his car, he still visited our library where he did research for his friends, relatives and neighbors. Those of us who have been American-Canadian Genealogical Society members for a while will always recall Louis VALLIERE as a "bon vivant" and a good friend. From Union-Leader, Manchester, NH: Services: Calling hours at the Goodwin Funeral Home are Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. He attended the First United Methodist Church, and the funeral will be held Wednesday, 16 June, 1999 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 607 Chestnut St. The Rev. Dwight Haynes, pastor of the First United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial at a later date will take place in Brookdale Cemetery, in Dedham, MA.
