Abt 1597/1599 inherited a portion of the estate of Hill Court.
1612 bought remainder of Hill Court, London.
1617 sold Hill Court to Henry Smyth.
Named in his fathers will in Dec. of 1585 as follows:
"And the legacies given to my sonne Nicholas & my daughter Alys shall bepaid and delyveryd to them within syx years next after my decease."
Consistent with other statements in his fathers will Nicholas is presumedto be a minor and will not reach age 21 for six more years. Therefore hewas 15 in 1585 and was born abt. 1570.
In 1597 Nicholas & Isabel inherited half of the manor at Hill Court from her brother Thomas when he died without issue. The manor was divided between Isabel and her sister Alice (Wetherston) Messenger Nafan, in 1599. In 1612 Richard Nafan and Alice and John Messenger and Mary his wife sold their moiety to Nicholas & Isabel Phelps, who conveyed the whole in 1617 to Henry Smyth, clerk.

[9994] 1566 Thomas Wetherston died without issue, and Hill Court, Langdon was divided between his sisters Alice and Isabel.
